9 Stunning new homes in High Halden, Ashford

No Use Empty supported the development of Carter’s Park an attractive development of 9 individual and traditionally styled new homes. Local developers, the GPML Group, delivered the project at a total cost of £1.4m including interest-bearing loans from KCC and Think Finance.

There are two phases of construction with the eastern side boasting three houses and two apartments, all with gardens. The other phase comprises four two-bedroom apartments, two with private gardens and the other two with balconies. All the properties have allocated parking with electrical charging points.

The development is named after Mr Walter Carter (1873-1975) a great ambassador and champion of the village giving financial support to many worthy village projects. He owned and lived in Hathewolden Grange a grand house opposite the development. Hathewolden is the historic name that pre-dates the name High Halden.
