Master William’s Place, Folkestone
To celebrate National Empty Homes Week, No Use Empty are proud to announce that local developer William Brown has completed the largest refurbishment project we have supported.
Not only is it complete, but 31 out of the 32 apartments created above the commercial space have already been snapped up!
This is a testament to the hard work that Will and his team have put into transforming this building in a prime town centre location on the corner of Sandgate Road and Guildhall Street which had been considered an eyesore having been boarded up .
The project was completed earlier this year, marketing started in January and within a few weeks 20 of the new homes had agreed terms, some eight weeks later the property will soon be fully occupied.
Numbers of long-term empty homes rose in every region of the country during 2025.
In Kent we are doing our bit to reduce the numbers.
Since NUE was established in 2005, we have returned over 9,000 long term empty properties back into use and ready to deliver more across the county.
If anyone is interested in applying for a loan to bring an empty property back into use, please contact us at nouseempty@kent.gov.uk
